INNOVATION THAT CRUSHES COMPETITION
We've conquered over 1,000 estate liquidations since our founding—that's 50 high-stakes sales annually, each meticulously executed across Oklahoma City and beyond. From intimate family collections to sprawling multi-million dollar estates of Oklahoma's elite, we've moved everything from priceless antiques to rare firearms, museum-quality coin collections, and heavy industrial equipment that other companies wouldn't dare touch.
JAMES BEAN: THE VISIONARY
Tragedy birthed revolution when James lost his mother in 1991. While established companies arrogantly refused smaller estates, James fearlessly stepped into the void, personally liquidating his mother's belongings and discovering a massive untapped market. His relentless drive created not just an estate sale company but an empire, culminating in James Bean Antiques at 4207 N. Western—a landmark destination for serious collectors.
BRIAN BENSON: BORN INTO THE BUSINESS
Brian's antique expertise was forged in childhood, mastering restoration techniques by age 6 while other kids played with toys. His obsession with auctions and relentless hustle selling antiques through college led him to James Bean in 1997, where they aggressively expanded into Dallas and Houston markets, crushing competition. Their unstoppable partnership culminated in the legendary Western Avenue Antique Mall at 5219 N. Western in 1999.
In 2002, they made the high-stakes decision to sell their antique empire to focus exclusively on estate liquidation. Then came January 2, 2005—the day James made the ultimate sacrifice. After heroically saving two friends from a raging house fire, he plunged back into the inferno to rescue two innocent dogs he was fostering, tragically succumbing to the deadly smoke.
Brian and the team now fight with unwavering determination to honor James's extraordinary legacy. His name isn't just a company brand—it's a sacred promise to deliver the same fearless service that made James Bean a legend.
